The IPL 2022 Group Stage is coming to an end, and we will soon know the four teams that will be playing in the Play-Offs of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. The 67th match of this competition sees the Royal Challengers Bangalore take on the Gujarat Titans, and the former need to win in order to give themselves a chance of making it to the next stage of the competition. Who do we think will win this game? Well, have a close look at our prediction of who will win the game, and you will receive the answer to this question.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Team Preview

The Royal Challengers are sitting in fifth place in the table, and have 14 points from the 13 games that they have played. There is a chance that a team will be able to qualify for the Play-Offs with 14 points, but this will not be RCB if they lose this game because of their negative Net Run Rate. Thus, to stand any chance of making it to the Play-Offs, they will need to win this match.

Their last game of the tournament was against the Punjab Kings, and they lost the match by 54 runs. The RCB won the toss and opted to field first, so they would have wanted to restrict the PBKS to a manageable total, but this did not materialise in the end. Jonny Bairstow got his team off to a flier, scoring 66 runs from just 29 balls, and then Liam Livingstone came in further down the order and smashed 70 off of 42 balls to help the PBKS to a score of 209/9 from their 20 overs.

The pick of the bowlers for the RCB was Harshal Patel who collected 4 wickets for 34 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled. Wanindu Hasaranga also bowled really well, and he collected 2 wickets for 15 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled. Josh Hazelwood is usually very reliable with the ball for the RCB, but he was very expensive in this last match, conceding 64 in 4 overs, giving him an economy of 16.00. Mohammed Siraj was also really expensive, bowling two overs that cost a total of 36 runs.

Online cricket betting has become extremely popular, even for those who are not huge cricket fans, and if you are thinking about doing some cricket betting and want to place wagers on the Top Bowler for the RCB against the Gujurat Titans, then who would we suggest you put your money on?

Well, we would have to go for Hasaranga as the Sri Lankan has bowled really well for the RCB throughout the competition. and he has picked up 23 wickets at an average of 14.65. At the current moment in time, he is the second highest wicket-taker in the tournament, just one behind Yuzvendra Chahal. So, if you put money on Wanindu to be the top wicket-taker for the RCB in this match, you will have a really good chance of making a profit.

With over 200 runs to chase down, the RCB batsmen knew that they had a tricky task on their hand, needing to go at more than 10 runs an over from the start, and they could not cope with the pressure. Before the Power Play had finished, they were three wickets down for 40 odd runs, and their chances of winning had all but gone. The top batsman for the RCB in this match was Glenn Maxwell, who scored 35 runs from 22 balls, while Rajat Patidar scored 26 from 21 and Virat Kohli scored 20 off 14. There was not anything else of note, and they could only score 155 from their 20 overs.

If you want to do a spot of IPL betting on the Top Batsman for the RCB, then who would we recommend you bet on? Well, there is one RCB player who has been really good with the bat throughout the competition, and this is Faf du Plessis. The South African has scored 399 runs in 13 matches at an average of 33.25, so he is definitely a good shout to be the top scorer for the RCB this time around too.

What is the playing XI that we expect to take to the field against the GT? Well, they do not really have a lot of strength in depth, so we do not actually see them making any changes for this match. So, the same playing XI that lost to the PBKS should play this match.

Gujurat Titans Team Preview

The Gujurat Titans are sitting at the top of the IPL table with 20 points to their name, having won 10 of the 13 matches that they have played. They are guaranteed to finish at the top of the table, no matter what happens in this match or any of the other remaining group matches. Not only do they have the most points out of the ten franchises, but they also have the best Net Run Rate. It really has been a fantastic tournament for them to date.

Their last match of the competition was against the Chennai Super Kings, and the CSK won the toss and decided to bat first. However, they put in a really strange batting performance, scoring 133 runs from their 20 overs, despite the fact that they still have wickets in hand. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 53 from 49 balls and Narayan Jagadeesan scored 39 from 33, and there was not much of note from anyone else - it seems that they could not really be bothered as their competition is over.

The pick of the bowlers for the GT was Mohammed Shami, who picked up a couple of wickets for 19 runs from the 4 overs that he bowled. Rashid Khan, as always, was reliable with the ball, picking up a wicket and conceding 31 runs from his 4 overs, while Hardik Pandya conceded only 8 runs from the 2 overs that he bowled.

If you have an account with some IPL betting sites and are going to be placing a wager on the Top Bowler for the GT, there is one player that we would suggest you put your hard-earned money on, and that is Khan. In 13 matches to date, he has picked up 16 wickets at an average of 22.25, and he is always a good bet to finish as his side's Top Bowler.

With just 134 needed to pick up yet another win, the GT would have been really confident of winning the match, and they did so in the end with little fuss. Wriddhiman Saha was the pick of the batsmen for the GT, scoring 67 runs from 57 balls, while there were some cameos from the likes of Matthew Wade and Shubman Gill. They reached their target with just under an over to spare.

If you want to make an IPL prediction for the GT Top Batsman, then who would we suggest you place your cash on? Well, Gil has been in really good form as of late, and has 402 runs from 13 games with an average of 33.5, so betting on him is definitely not a waste of your time or money. There will be a good chance that you will win your bet and make yourself a tidy profit.

Do we think that they will make any changes to their playing XI? Well, this is anybody's guess - at the end of the day, their top spot is guaranteed, so they might decide to rest a few key players so that they are nice and fresh for the Play-Offs next week. We will just have to wait and see what playing XI they opt for.

Toss Prediction

For the first few rounds of matches in the 15th edition of the IPL, the toss played a big role in determining the franchise that would win the match and get the points on offer. Due to the dew factor, the captain that won the toss was opting to field first, and they would go on to win the game on 70% of the occasions. However, thankfully, the dew is now less of an issue because it was making a mockery of the competition, if we are being honest.

Now, the team that wins the coin toss does not have that big of an advantage over their rivals. In fact, from the last 10 games or so, the team that has lost the toss has gone on to win more often than not. Therefore, now it is harder to make a toss prediction for the matches, but we think that the team who wins the toss will opt to field first, just in case dew does become a factor all of a sudden.

Pitch Conditions

This 67th match of the competition will take place at the Wankhede Stadium, and the average first innings score here during this tournament has been 166 runs, while the average score needed to win when batting first here has been 188. The team that has chased has won 59% of the matches that have been played here, which is why we feel that the captain that wins the coin toss will opt to bowl first. The team that bats first will look to put around 170 on the board - yes, 188 is the average score needed to win, but scores are decreasing as the pitches get worn and harder to bat on.

Our RCB vs GT Betting Tips

It is fair to say that making a correct match prediction today for the Indian Premier League 2022 is not an easy feat because all of the 10 franchises are pretty even and anyone can beat anyone on their day. This match today between the RCB and the GT is another hard one to call, but the team that we predict will win is the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Our reasoning for this is because they have much more to play for, while the GT might decide to play some of their reserves in order to rest their main players.
